Soccer Stories by 6th graders

Hi, I am Ms. Kathleen Caputo, 6th grade teacher at Montgomery School....

And this is my project: CyberKids, "Respect for All."
On October 31, 2004, the entire San Jose State University Womens' Soccer team made their first visit to our school.
At our first meeting each student met their partner. At that time, they interviewed their new friend, including getting their very important e-mail address. After the interviews were done, each student and their partner went to the table and selected a book they would read together in the upcoming months. As an observer would notice, students were happily chatting with their partner, reading together, posing for pictures, or working on a project. A very busy atmosphere all noted by a reporter for the Evergreen Times. Time quickly came to an end. Joyful good-byes were said with promises of e-mails to follow. We gathered together for one last picture and joined in a San Jose State University cheer!
